Our packaging – consciously simple, sustainably designed
At NATÜRLICH PFERD, we focus not only on your horse's well-being but also on responsible environmental practices. That's why we place great importance on sustainable and resource-saving packaging solutions – without greenwashing or unnecessary showmanship.
Paper instead of plastic – wherever possible
We package our herbs and herbal blends in high-quality, unbleached paper bags. These are not only environmentally friendly but also fully recyclable and biodegradable. Paper packaging causes significantly less environmental impact compared to plastic packaging and is the ideal choice for our dry products.
100% recyclable – for oils and oil-containing products
For oils, oil-containing products such as press cake and crib feed, as well as our organic horse hemp concentrate, we use packaging made of so-called mono-plastic. These consist of only one type of plastic and are therefore 100% recyclable – in contrast to composite packaging, which consists of several layers of different materials and is excluded from recycling. Our packaging can be easily disposed of via the yellow bag or yellow bin and fed back into the material cycle.
No composite packaging – for good reason
Composite packaging may seem modern and practical at first glance, but it is a significant environmental problem: it is difficult to recycle, is usually thermally recycled (i.e., incinerated), and thus leaves a poor environmental footprint. Out of conviction, we therefore completely refrain from using such materials.
Shipping with foresight
We also act responsibly when it comes to shipping: cartons and filling materials are reused multiple times – if in perfect condition. This not only saves resources but also avoids unnecessary waste. It may therefore happen that your package arrives in an already used carton – this is not a mistake, but our active contribution to waste avoidance.
No high-gloss look – but genuine sustainability
You won't find elaborately printed, colorful packaging with us. And that's no coincidence, but a conscious decision. Because every gram of color, every additional use of material, and every supposedly "beautiful" outer packaging means additional environmental impact – without added value for your horse.
Our labels are also made of paper, not plastic – another consistent step towards sustainability. They can be recycled together with the packaging and thus also contribute to resource conservation.
The simplicity of our packaging is an expression of our attitude: Reduced to the essentials, honest, and environmentally conscious. We prefer to invest in high-quality organic raw materials, transparent recipes, and consistent quality – rather than in packaging that only looks good.
